First of all, the game features a quick battle mode, creatures are categorized by quantity (as in Heroes 3), and the music has been improved (the best tracks from The Price of Loyalty and The Succession Wars have been used). Now, when switching between mono and stereo modes, and between opera and other music styles, the music is completely different. Bugs related to online play have been fixed (the game often crashed during online play), and the most important new feature for online play is that when it's the opponent's turn, you can plan your actions and execute them after their turn (i.e., while the computer or another player is taking their turn, you can plan where to move your hero, what buildings to construct, etc.).
