The following differences in the rules have been noted:
1. Restarts. There are no restarts in HotA when encountering a 1-1-6 situation, but there are in HotA.
2. Heroes. There are differences regarding the use of spells obtained from 4th-level specialist heroes. There's no point in going into detail; take a close look yourself. But note: In HotA, Tantalus is limited, as are the 4th-level specialists, but not in HotA.
3. Scrolls. HotA has more flexible requirements for building magic, which allows the use of scrolls, but it lacks the 6th-week rule. HotA has it.
4. Necropolis. In HotA, the starting hero is random; goodbye, Gosha.
5. Diplomacy. It is completely prohibited in HotA, but allowed in a limited way in HotA.
I've only provided an overview, not a detailed analysis, so for accuracy, please check and analyze it yourself!!!
I ask the players to carefully read the Portal Rules again. It would be inconvenient if we played "our own way." Most of the Baev players are unaware of the differences between the World and Portal rules, so they will think we have violated the rules, which we would not want.
