The situation with the version is as follows. Roland and I believe that we should only play TE-light. If you want, you can consider this an ultimatum (although, in reality, it's just common sense).
If someone is willing to play on SoD, we can do that, but by default, we will play TE-light, and all players from Bay will receive a corresponding recommendation.
Wait, why use the language of ultimatums? Now there is a chance to overcome the schism in the Heroes community. Look, the Portal players have overcome their isolation and are happy to play in our World tournaments; our players enjoy playing on Portal, and no one is harassing them. They even happily invited Scorp and Pete, two strong players from our forum, who have proven themselves. An excellent match was played between Portal and World, and now a triple match is being planned. TE-light has appeared, and it is being tested, including by our players. Over time, gradually, the SoD players will switch to it if it performs well in tournaments. But how can you immediately start playing on a new version of the game? I turned on TE-light and haven't mastered the interface yet. When playing an important match, you need to feel maximum comfort, fully focusing on the game. When launching the game on the monitor, a person who has not played on TE does not feel this comfort; they think more about how not to mess something up. Of course, when playing on TE, the World players, for the most part, will lose, precisely because they are distracted by minor details that would not occur on SoD.
And why did the ultimatum arise in the first place? The Bay players have much more experience playing on SoD than the World players. For example:
1. Stinger is a champion and multiple prize-winner of the Chaos League, and he plays on SoD.
2. AlexTheGreat was, along with Altal and Lord Dim, the strongest player in Peter on random SoD games.
3. Paladin is the strongest player on SoD and plays excellently on our forum.
4. DC_Vasya is the strongest player on SoD; I saw his game live.
5. DVStranger is 2nd place in the Chaos League, the strongest player on SoD.
6. Markon is a Chaos League prize-winner and the winner of a major tournament on Portal on SoD.
I could continue the list of Bay players who have many years of successful tournament experience playing on SoD. At the same time, you can easily find several people on your resource who are ready to successfully play on SoD, even this week.
Now, the opinion about Bay and TE on our resource is changing for the better, mainly thanks to one person – Paladin. One of our players wrote to me in PM that he would respect Bay only for Paladin. But I know how many worthy people are there. So, give other players a chance to see this for themselves. Let them play, feel the strength of your players, make useful acquaintances, and cheer for the team in a triple match. After that, the opinion about Bay will increase even more, and players may switch to TE just for that reason. I would very much like the schism in the Heroes community to be overcome. And there is such a chance; it should not be ruined by hasty decisions.
If someone is willing to play on SoD, we can do that, but by default, we will play TE-light, and all players from Bay will receive a corresponding recommendation.
Let's clarify. We don't need anything from you; perhaps my previous posts created a wrong impression, sorry. Our forum has adults, successful people with higher education.
Even if someone plays better somewhere, we can handle it; our forum is developing every month, new players are joining, and tournaments, both team and individual, are constantly being played. We have already assembled a team and will play a rematch with Portal. If we play with you, we will be very happy, even if we lose, even with a large score. But only without ultimatums; they will ruin the emerging rapprochement of positions. IMHO, it is possible to find common ground without slogans.
Regarding the recommendation on what to play, our players decide for themselves. I polled all team members; one (Invisible) said that only pure TE would suit him, and two – Dubrovin Pavel and Pete – said that TE-light or SoD would be fine, so I put them on TE-light.
The rest resolutely refused; I can give you their PMs, and you can talk to the players yourself. Whoever wants to play on which version will play on that version; I cannot force anyone to play on TE. With respect.
