Actually, that's not the case. In version 3.1, neutral creatures mostly ignore the dagger wall. I recently played a campaign as Zehir, and I blocked the obsidian golems with a wall. I was playing against red dragons, riders, and minotaurs. The neutral creatures didn't even try to break through the wall; they just stood there. I defeated them with a fire wall. As far as I remember, there wasn't such stupidity in version 3.0.
