Ogion Stranniy, you are wrong here. They are doing this project completely for free and have every right to do whatever they want with it (including abandoning it).
I am sure that the delay is related to the developers' personal problems (studies, work, etc.), so I don't think it is worth making claims against them or blaming them for anything.
