I see the table as a convenient way to confirm save delivery. Also, it's interesting to know who you're competing against. I understand – it's frustrating to find out that half of the participants ignored the tournament. But, in my opinion, removing the table won't solve the problem. It would be just as frustrating to find out that only 2-3 people participated in the tournament. The incentive for the future would be negative. In light of the above, I suggest reconsidering the rules for forming the ranking. In my opinion, there's nothing wrong with a player declining the ranking assigned for a particular tournament. This would increase the quorum. Well, I assume it would increase. And to avoid recalculating the ranking multiple times, a deadline could be set for submitting the corresponding application from the participant. This way, places are preserved, interest in the tournament is also preserved, the quorum, hopefully, will increase, and some shortcomings in the ranking system will appear, but if a positive trend appears at the same time, in my opinion, we can live with them.
