I posted a report on a weekend game, but it seems it got lost during the forum migration. Restoring it.
Vitalic (blue, Rampart, Kyrre, Kyrre) def Nagan-4 (red, Castle, Valessa, Lacus), 132.
Week 1.
I chose all the rests, and not in vain — I got a large and rich respawn, covering a quarter of the map in the lower left corner. I could have expected a massive power-up, but two factors slowed me down.
1. There wasn’t a single external dwelling in this huge respawn; I can’t recall such a thing in games.
2. In the respawn, there was a Dragon Utopia right by the road, but it (and the road) was blocked by a horde of Magma Elementals. And the only sensible path out of the respawn was through the basement.
Starting army: 20 archers, 20 pikemen, 6 wolves, about fifteen goblins. With a heavy heart, I upgraded the archers on day 2, because that meant no Castle built by day 7 of the week. I was offered Galthran; I considered raising skeletons from the abundance of low-level monsters. I messaged my opponent in ASIA; we decided — since it’s written that Galthran is banned, then he’s banned. I started leveling up Lacus with a Squire.
On day 1, I bought five heroes; on day 2, seven; on day 3, all eight. Many fights to raise money, clear paths, and take crypts. In the respawn, I found two Angelic Towers and a Hive. Result of week 1: respawn is open and mostly cleared, horses are in the Stronghold, plenty of money.
Week 2.
I break through a path into the swamp, send a Squire there; he discovers a Hive and soon dies to a blue hero. So — the Fortress above is already taken by blue. I plot a route: Conservatory-Consecrated Hive. First Conservatory — lvl 2, I lose one horse — a pity, but Lacus was speeding up nicely on Angels. Second Conservatory — again lvl 2, I lose another horse. The problem was that heroes from the tavern kept arriving without archers, so breaking through conservatories with 27 archers was possible, but at my skill level — only with losses. Kyrre takes the Hive in the swamp, but doesn’t head my way; she disappears into the fog again. My left-side heroes fought in Medusa dens, sometimes losing units.
By day 125, I had to think about what to do next. The respawn is cleared; taking the Utopia is unrealistic. I considered breaking through the Magma Elementals blocking the road, but there could have been 99 of them — I could have lost my still-small army. I had to go around the respawn. I take a Hive with 6 Wyverns.
Week 3.
I venture into the underground. The plan was simple: reach the treasure zone, feast on hives, crack the Utopia. Sitting idle for two weeks even on a rich respawn is unacceptable, especially since I hadn’t built up my army. On day 132, I take the Dungeon, uncovering the last cell. Through scouting, I see the castle zone overlaps with the treasure zone — three Hives, a piece of the Utopia. But there’s no time for that — Kyrre is racing toward the Dungeon at full speed. Minus one town — I don’t have money to build even a Stronghold in the Dungeon, income is only 1000. I accept the fight with what I have.
On day 132, the final battle.
Lacus (9, 7, 3, 5). 4 Angels, 6 horses, 6 Wyverns, 12 Royal Griffins, 8 Crushers, 28 Troglodytes. Expert Haste.
Kyrre (8, 11, 3, 2). 10 Unicorns, 11 Wyverns, 11 upgraded Flies, 37 upgraded Elves, 39 Lizardmen, 87 Centaurs, 21 Dwarves. Expert Slow.
Blue has more units, including two large stacks of shooters. On the first turn I got Expert Slow; I replied with Expert Haste. The Elves and Lizardmen were immediately reliably covered by thick stacks; the Lizardmen would take their turn, and Slow would be cast immediately, after which the Elves would shoot. I lost.

I reviewed the final battle; the path to the Elves was well blocked by Unicorns and Wyverns. Considering Kyrre’s strong defense, they wouldn’t die quickly. My army was small; only the Angels were truly combat-effective.
Thanks for the game.
