Since 10/19/2008, the following changes and additions are made to the General Rules for Offline Tournaments in Heroes III:

1.2. Tournaments are held on Russian versions of Might and Magic III:
The Shadow of Death
(Version 3.2) and Complete Collection [Platinum Edition] (Version 4.0) with the installed patch LMPatch (Version 4.1.1.1).

The patch eliminates this possibility, making the battle map constant,
and the order in which morale, luck, and creature special abilities appear is strictly fixed.',SHADOW, true, TITLE, 'Brief description of the patch', PADDING,9)">What does the patch do? >>

What happens after installing the patch? >>

The topic with information and discussion about the patch can be found here.
In case the patch is not used during the tournament, the participant plays and sends the save at their own risk that, as a result of completing or checking his save, the organizer may determine that the battle was conducted without using the patch, or request a complete (turn-by-turn) description of any battle that the tournament participant conducted from the organizer, which the organizer will not be able to repeat on the patch.
Reference: usually, only the following are subject to verification by the organizer:
• difficult battles;
• battles in which morale, luck, special abilities of creatures (blindness, petrification, deadly gaze, etc.) play an essential role for winning (or exiting the battle with minimal losses);
• final battles.
If the organizer becomes convinced that the participant completed the tournament without using the patch, he has the right not to count the results of this player.

It is allowed to participate in tournaments on English versions of Heroes of Might and Magic III: The Shadow of Death (Version 3.2) and Heroes of Might and Magic III Complete (Version 4.0) with the installed patch LMPatch (Version 4.1.1.1), but participants do so at their own risk that as a result of completing or checking saves, some previously unknown moments may be discovered in which the gameplay mechanics differ between the English version and the Russian version (for reference: no differences have been noticed to date, and presumably there are none). Participating in offline tournaments on other versions of the game, such as Armageddon's Blade or In the Wake of Gods, is prohibited (unless otherwise specified as an exception by the rules of the tournament itself).

1.4.12. It is forbidden to use the assembled artifact "Admiral's Hat" (it can be used disassembled). Reference: multiple boarding and disembarking from a boat while using the "Admiral's Hat" artifact allows you to gain navigation bonuses. At his discretion, the organizer may allow the use of the assembled "Admiral's Hat" artifact by specifying this in the rules of a specific tournament as a separate item. In this case, the organizer must also indicate whether it is permissible to use this artifact without restrictions, or only in certain cases (for example, allowing its use only when the main goal is to cross a water barrier necessary for performing specific actions by the player, rather than gaining navigation bonuses on land).
1.4.14. It is allowed to use "Neutral Unit Carry-Over".
Reference: if a hero stands on a swamp, having a neutral unit (sniper, nomad, troll, etc.) and a hydra (native troop of the swamp) in their army. If a neutral unit (sniper) is placed to the left of the native unit (hydra) in the slots for arranging troops, then the hero will move across the swamp terrain without penalty, as if all creatures in the army were native; if the neutral unit is placed to the right, then the hero will move across the swamp terrain with a penalty.
1.4.15. It is forbidden to leave a hero without troops through any manipulations. Exception: it is allowed to leave a hero without troops only if they were given to complete a quest.
1.4.16. It is allowed to dismiss heroes located in a castle through the "Kingdom Overview" menu -> "Show Cities".
1.5.6. Victory criteria.
As a rule, the winner of tournaments on HeroesWorld is determined using 3 victory criteria.
A request to tournament organizers when forming victory criteria to take this nuance into account. Reference: probably, on some tournament maps, 3 or more victory criteria will be superfluous and should not be introduced. For example, in a tournament to collect the maximum number of skeletons in 3 weeks, with the second decisive criterion being the amount of gold in the treasury, the third criterion here is obviously redundant, since the probability of repeating the result (the same number of skeletons and gold) for two participants in this case is negligible. Perhaps, one criterion is enough here (number of skeletons).
1.5.7. As a rule, the calculation of the sum of primary parameters of the main hero in the final save on HeroesWorld is carried out after the final battle, taking into account the artifacts worn by the hero and the experience gained after the battle. Reference: after the same final battle, a hero can gain a different amount of experience, and accordingly, the number of levels raised by the hero after the battle may differ, and therefore the final parameters of the hero may also differ. Thus, a player could have one set of hero parameters after the battle, while conducting the battle by the organizer would result in other parameters. The following situations are known when a hero can receive a different amount of experience in the same battle: a battle with troops that contain creatures of evil (the amount of experience depends on the number of summoned and killed demons) and a mismatch in the moment when the enemy hero flees from the battle. If such moments occur (which happens extremely rarely), you can use as confirmation an attached screenshot of the screen after the battle, a description of the battle by the player, etc.
Клан Homo homini

Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth...
