I agree. Although it's not right to change the rules in the middle of a tournament, I think this change will only be beneficial.

Here's the thing – we need to conduct a general vote among the participants, and if even one person is against it, we cannot change the rules! Personally, I also support adding a 9th round, but we need to hurry with both the voting and determining the templates for the 6th and 9th rounds. Otherwise, we'll have to leave everything as it is.
