That's nonsense... You can't compare such different spheres as politics, science, and art. For example, Peter the Great determined the direction of Russia, and Pushkin determined the direction of the intelligentsia, defining the spiritual heritage of the people. Without Mendeleev, perhaps we would never have understood chemical substances, as their classification was significantly delayed, and we would be looking at some black and white photographs now, considering them a great achievement of science. Even if we consider the question of Russia, what would the spiritual past of our people be without those writers? There would be none, and even the greatest political figures wouldn't have helped. And without Lenin, it's unknown how history would have unfolded; perhaps autocracy would still exist.
Where do we go? Where do we end up when we save the world?
