The profile clearly states the location: "Ukraine."
I don't think it's necessary to know Russian just because you live there.

And in general... why are you complaining so much? Everyone has equal opportunities; it's not just you who has luck and a better database than before (in Heroes of Might and Magic III, that is).
And indeed, what's so absurd about the ability to gather a group of heroes in one place? Here, it's simply a choice: either you take Black Dragons, or you take a gluttonous hero. What will be more useful at the moment depends on the situation. :)
