I won't even bother responding to all the personal jabs in oelm's previous post directed at me; it's just not worth my time. I'll just note: I (and not just me) simply wanted oelm to explicitly apologize for calling a respected person a liar, just as explicitly and openly. The first time, he simply deleted the offensive phrase. Then he apologized for the comment, in general:
I apologize for my comment, but I didn't think people would take it so seriously here. I wrote it in the heat of the moment.
And only on the third try did this phrase appear:
I apologized immediately to Anatoly and to the forum members who adhere to a certain code of ethics here...
I probably can't get more than that now; this seems to be the limit, but at least it's something...
We all want to be taught, to have experience shared with us – generously and sincerely. We are only asked to protect our Teachers from rudeness and impudence, and to do so immediately and decisively, preferably together – even if it means getting a little dirty and receiving some dirt in return.

As a third-generation teacher myself, I know how important it is that your advice is valued and that people have some respect for you. It's not much, but it's not insignificant either...
