Unlikely. Judge for yourself: the universe is the same, the concept is the same, the characteristics of most units are the same, and the style is the same. Essentially, StarCraft 2 is the same as StarCraft 1 with improved graphics and a couple of new features. And that's a good thing. I wish they would re-release Warcraft 3 with the same approach... :)
