The movie "The Mummy 3: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor" is a film that doesn't need a sequel. There are also films where only the director who created the original should make sequels. But most importantly, the cast should never be changed. The creators of "The Mummy 3: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor" didn't even consider these truths; they just gave the green light to the third installment. "I've already made my Mummy movies," is how Stephen Sommers reacted when asked to direct this one as well. Well, those are golden words.

Let's be honest, after watching the decent trailers, it was already clear that "The Mummy 3: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor" would be different, and we were prepared for that. But what we got in the end is not just a different film; it's a parody of the first films. Rob Cohen simply took and destroyed the atmosphere, the "magic" that sparkled in Sommers' films. The previous films were primarily adventures, with attributes such as quality action, humor, and amazing acting. And that's not even mentioning the excellent plot. "The Mummy 3: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor" is completely devoid of all of this. The only exceptions are action and humor. And even then, there's much less of the latter here than in the previous films, and the funniest jokes were spoiled in the commercials.
