Fantasy vs. Science Fiction

As for the idea that the warriors' swords are imbued with magic, that's questionable. Fantasy is full of examples where a knight who knows nothing about magic can kill a dragon with a sword. Besides, a Makarov or a Glock isn't a sword, and a dragon's scales are unlikely to be stronger than the best modern body armor. You just need to hit the dragon in the stomach or the eye, and that's it.
I don't think gremlins, who can't even completely destroy catapults and ballistae, will be able to burn a high-tech targeting system...
