Should we have a beer-drinking contest at HW?

I wouldn't say that AR "went wild" on the forum... hmm... by closing the thread. Personally, I'm not bothered by the reason for closing the thread (even though it was a bit late, but everything is fine from a formal point of view), but by the pretext. If I understand correctly, someone started spamming heavily in the thread (something like posts containing a single emoji, a single word, etc.). IMHO, this is unacceptable in the "What Fans Love About Heroes" section, but quite acceptable in the actual "Off-Topic" section, especially considering that after creating additional sections about movies, books, etc., many serious topics that don't allow such spam have been moved to the corresponding sections. Well, never mind, that's not what we're talking about. The main point is that there must be a place for off-topic discussions on the forum, in other words, a thread without restrictions (except for swearing, trolling, and everything else). The question of whether such a thread will be in the "Off-Topic" section doesn't even need to be asked. The problem is different: it's quite obvious that the "Pub" section is the most suitable for this. And if you really want to separate the glorious memory of the "Flood Scar" from "pure spam," then you can (it will be tedious, but I wouldn't say it's very long) move all the posts from the "Flood Scar" era to a new thread, and leave the "Pub" for "pure spam." If, of course, you want a compromise. Otherwise, just create a new off-topic thread and don't worry about it.
