Yes, such an artifact isn't interesting. What's the point of it if, for example, your hero gets killed, and he'll have great artifacts, but you won't be able to buy him again in the tavern. And what's worse, what if the enemy buys that hero? It's better to leave everything as it is because you can get the artifacts back by killing the guy who now has your artifacts:D.
