What do you think about the melodic death metal genre?

I myself am a big fan of this style, and I would like to know the opinions of others.

Bands that play in this style know about rhythm, unlike brutal death metal (and even in regular death metal, few people have heard of it)... I don't consider this style to be a degradation, but it's still a bit boring...
