Please. Jimmy DeGriz... honestly, it's one of my favorite things by him. But... nevertheless, half of it is cobbled together from such nonsense that... I'm speechless. And all four templates are present there.
I'm not considering Russian science fiction writers.
But even among them, there are wonderful authors. Lukyanenko, for example. *waiting for them to throw stones at me* whatever people say about him, he's good.
Yeah. Overused. Everything will be good if it's done well.
Orcs usually don't care about that; someone is in charge of them. It's more like "something else."
Have you read much fantasy?
I personally can only remember a couple of orc and undead invasions... and I can say that sci-fi is lagging behind... (IMHO!)
Although I haven't read that much sci-fi...
what do you think, why are most MMORPGs based on fantasy?
2. They got used to it:smile35: someone started, everyone followed... and they can't stop. Because it's truly popular.
3. Of course, it's cliché, because fantasy is always in the spotlight. It's much easier to cobble together "something" from the available templates than to look for sci-fi templates.
making a sci-fi MMO is very risky
The fact remains a fact :p
Except the ones we've made
