Is this consistency even necessary? For example, I don't really like the snow-covered Necropolis; it looks dirty. This is definitely a bad idea from the developers, which is why it wasn't included in Heroes 5.
Well, maybe some people don't like the Castle even without this consistency. But what makes you say it's a bad idea? Just because it's not in Heroes 5? The Wanderer may not have expressed himself very "politically correctly," but essentially, I think he's right; Heroes 5 is pop music. The first thing that worried the developers was commercial success, not the depth of the game. Although Heroes 5 turned out to be a pretty good part of the series, its focus on the masses cannot be denied. Therefore, its main trump card is the graphics; it must be at the highest level, otherwise, you won't attract new players. And after the graphics comes everything else... I don't think it makes much sense to argue about the simplification of Heroes 5 compared to other parts.
Of course, even in Heroes 4, the Castles are not as detailed, but at least you can easily find any building by its appearance, but in Heroes 5, you'll have a hard time finding them (we rotate the camera:D).
