Discussion about Heroes I.

Could you please provide a Walkthrough? I was just playing in single-player mode, and there's also a standard map at the top of the mountain with a griffin. I keep losing; help me win! (I always get the Barbarian faction.)

It seems like you're referring to the standard map (which should appear immediately when you quickly set up the game)... "Claw Easy" is what it seems to be called in English... At the starting location, there are all the mines except for gold, and the only exit above the castle is through 19 griffins, which never join you in the options.... And beyond the griffins, there's a village (usually a Knight's village) and a Lava Trident... 3 paths for 3 opponents... defeat them all... The map seems to be not very difficult, but if you have little experience and are playing with the minimum amount of money and the maximum difficulty for the opponents, plus "King of the Hill," you can easily lose to the opponents, who by the end of the 2nd or beginning of the 3rd week, come with an army larger than yours, plus with magic of level 4... for example, a couple of Warlocks with Armageddon :smile34:
As for the Barbarians appearing, try changing the color (there's a beautiful 4-color stone) when creating a new game... and to reduce the difficulty, in the first game, there's something that isn't in the 2nd, 3rd, and 5th games... you can adjust the strength of each opponent separately... for example, 1 strong and 2 weak... or, to start, turn off 2 out of 3 opponents and play 1v1... then 1v2, and so on... the peak I already described when all three "geniuses" are in an alliance against you with no money and resources...
By the way, it's possible that you have a demo version or a very bad pirated copy, which is why there are no other maps and factions... I've also encountered this on disks released for the American market...
