Uran (blue, Rampart, Shafts, Shafts) def Hermit (red, Stronghold, Yanova, Yanova) 2sm4d(3) 141
Captured the opponent's secondary town (dungeon with a stronghold and medusas) on turn 136. Bought everything and headed towards the main town, but there was no one there, and his army was nearby, next to the castle. He didn't let me retake the Shafts town.
Uran won
Yes, he won. I lost again...
The Shafts player came with an army that I could have 100% defeated. If it weren't for that damn Monolith, standing next to his already quite developed dungeon, which had a large but unhired army, a severe lack of money for troops, and a huge turn advantage for the opponent – he wouldn't have felt so confident!..
I watched that Monolith with horror, and by the third week, it started to seriously get on my nerves. In the opposite corner of the map, I found a gate to the underworld... I calmed down a bit, but why did I assume that he would come directly through the Monolith, and not through the gate to the underworld!? On the sixth day of the third week, my worst fears were confirmed: he came through the Monolith and immediately captured the dungeon with a very large, unhired army that was native to him, and a stronghold to boot!.. (((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((
Yanova gave her army to Nagash, merged with the ghosts, and I hired her in the tavern. Nagash, the next day, went around the forest and safely transferred the elves, dwarves, and dendrites to her. It was the first day, I was red. I positioned myself so that I could reach the castle, stood there, and prepared to attack. I should have left her with 7 centaurs, and transferred the army on the next turn (lack of experience), and left the elementalist with the army in the Rampart!!!!!!!!!
The risk of losing the capital was 0%. The chance of reaching Yanova's town, if he doesn't attack her, was 100%. And if he does attack, then later, in the open field, the elementalist or the hired Yanova would have easily defeated him. But I made a mistake and left Yanova with the army near the town. I somehow assumed that he wouldn't have enough turns to reach my town. And in general, I couldn't believe that he would dare to leave the dungeon... but he did leave and went straight to the town, bypassed Yanova, killed Nagash, killed the elementalist who was sitting in the capital with one centaur, and settled there. I couldn't retake it...
