Once, a friend of mine cast Vampirism on ghosts. They became, to put it mildly, very difficult to kill. Not only did half of the attacks miss, but even when they hit, the ghosts retaliated and raised their stats. At the end of the battle, only ghosts remained. I think that Vampirism on ghosts is a brilliant strategy.
