On first map 1-6 in Citadel, native secondary skill. On second - 1-6 in Castle, 1-3 in Citadel in secondary, another secondary Castle, Griffin Conservatory 2. On third - two Naga Banks of 4 each, buyout of everything and through adjacent zone Inferno-assault of the Swamp Capitol at 135. As always a tough assault (swamp), but managed to break through. Another couple of days - mopping up scouts and I get the rank "Monster" :)

Yes, that's indeed how it was. I didn't know the exact ranges of stacks guarding resources. That slowed down my development. During the siege I had a tiny chance to fight back, but the towers, alas, shot at the wrong target. Oh well, I hope next time I'll have better luck. Besides, now I know what those "packs", "hordes", "many", "few", etc. mean, and therefore in the early stages I have a good opportunity to properly assess my chances of victory in battles.
