The idea is good, but it won't always work.
The armies change every week.
If we complete the first stage on Monday and the second on Friday, we will get incorrect data. I think there are still nuances in the AI's behavior (which heroes it hired, which it fired).
Yes, with the only limitation being the turn transition from day 7 to day 8. This can be mentioned in the program's help file.
The fact is that in most tournaments, only the first 2-3 days are important and decisive; everything else is irrelevant.
As for the AI's behavior, we'll leave that to the players.
It's no secret that offline players quite often use the load/save method to study the AI's behavior during turn transitions. Sometimes the AI self-destructs by giving away artifacts or monsters, which can be beneficial to the player (see www.handbookhmm1.narod.ru). So, by saving a game where, in the player's opinion, the AI made a "successful" move, they begin to use the automated tool - the hero finder - to study the available heroes for hire.
P.S. I think it is possible to track the AI's behavior during turn transitions using the automated tool, but it will be extremely difficult to do, and it's not even necessary!
