A THREAD FOR NEWCOMERS!

I started reading here and realized that I don't understand anything; do you even play Tournaments at 160% now?

Explain to someone who lives “behind the iron curtain” how far behind I am, and also give me a link to your heroes so I can check them out.

And from what I see in your Tournaments, you’re even playing with water and all sorts of other things (banks, taxes on armies, etc.). I play part III; I don’t know how to check the version. Also, please explain the rules that skilled players follow. For example: map L, random, 200%, strong monster difficulty, no water, no AI opponents, 1v1. The number of Castles should be equal, access to resources should last one week, and defending units shouldn’t be stronger than level 1 ranged or level 2 melee. If the starting territory isn't yours, restart as well. Buying units 7 and 6 is allowed by agreement, but conquering spawning points for unit growth is not. Playing Conflux is prohibited, diplomacy is also prohibited. As I understand it, you create maps in some clever way so that you don’t have to do thousands of restarts? At least explain how it works in your Tournaments, because I don’t want to stay stuck in the Stone Age, and my friends will be grateful too.
I understand that answering such “elementary” questions might seem trivial to you, but I would appreciate it. We need to understand what this is about and what we should take into account.
