I would like to suggest the following:

1 - 8 (3 rounds / 5 games - winner takes all)
9 - 16 (4 rounds / 6 games)
17 - 32 (5 rounds / 9 games)

And in seasonal games, deduct 75% of the winner's points for a loss, instead of 50% of the points earned in the game!!!
