Where can I download Heroes WOG 3.5, 3.x?

Here's another question: I understand that monsters can gain experience (sergeant stripes), but where do the golden swords come from? I don't know! Please advise.

Golden swordsmen... perhaps you mean the commanders of the heroes' castles, called paladins?
You can set the game to include them or not in the menu.
If a commander dies, you can hire another one by returning to the city.
However, they create a very large imbalance in the game...
