Reports from the HoMM IV online Tournaments "Sultry Season"

Lee (Chaos) def. ZYbr (Chaos) - Heartwinter (Expert, 6 min) I really believed in my small chance :) We didn't plan anything... ZYbr said he likes this map... and I was playing on it for the first time... I thought that this wouldn't be the last tournament, so I could try a new map :cool: We just chose the factions... ZYbr wanted to play as Chaos, so I thought it would be better to play as the same faction... he knows better, he's more experienced... so we started :eek: I went second, at the bottom. We restarted twice, the first time ZYbr had a dwelling with Hydras, the second time I had one with Hydras... well, the third time we started playing, and I saw those damn Hydras, and I was disappointed... Six minutes are ticking (I was reading reports about what people wrote about this map), I thought I needed snowshoes... then gloves... then a Castle (because you can't buy a Dragon right away) :smile42: My first hero was a Scout, I bought a second Chaos Mage because ZYbr was complaining during the first restart that there was no offensive magic... I got it... I needed to take a Chaos Mage... so I did. I found snowshoes at 112, got a quest for gloves - to kill a Mantis, I went to fight, and there was a second Dragon Castle and a third hero, a Tactician... that's how the first week went, the first Castle, the second... I was attacking everyone with heroes on Efreet... in difficult cases, I used a Rogue... All of this wouldn't have helped me, of course... if ZYbr hadn't messed up and missed the first week... he slowed down in development, and I was raising Dragons... and then I saw:eek: ZYbr ate the middle I got ready :smile14: to check what happened I ran over... I saw... he had 4 Dragons and four heroes, and I had 7 :smile44: ZYBR went into the Castle... I almost attacked him... but then I thought about it and didn't :D I bought 1 Dragon in his dwelling, pulled in 2 more from home... I ran around, got some upgrades, ran around for a week... and then I attacked the Castle... Lifeguard, two Chaos Mages, and a Tactician against my 10 Cyclops and five heroes (two Chaos Mages, a Tactician, a Death Mage, and a Rogue). All with decent combat and magic resistance... I have to say, it was a close call... but I won without losses (special respect to the Rogue... I really liked how he did it) Don't get me wrong :smile45: there were losses in Dragons, ZYbr almost killed them all... thanks to his Tactician 5555 and my belief in invincibility... And my Tactician was 3422 + 5005 combat However, all my heroes were geared to defend against mages It's funny that I didn't have any Life or Order magic anywhere... Thanks to ZYbr for the lesson... it was very interesting :smile51:
