How can we connect the fifth installment with the previous games in the series?

Here's a possible scenario: during the cataclysm on Xeen, some cities, along with their inhabitants, were teleported to another world by some higher powers (perhaps the Elemental Lords, who shattered the Escaton crystal on Jadame), and the events will unfold there. For those who don't know: Jadame is, in a way, a separate province of Erathia, which became independent. Its main inhabitants are trolls, dark elves, minotaurs, and dragons. Dragon hunters and clerics of light arrived from Erathia; necromancers, led by Fant and Sandro, also appeared there. The clerics occupied the northwestern corner of Jadame, the necromancers settled in a place called Shadow Peak, and the dragon-hunting knights settled near the dragons, in the Serpent's Gorge. This is a brief backstory of Might and Magic VIII, but perhaps it will give someone an idea... And I must also correct the author: the world is called Xeen, and Enroth is just the native continent of Roland and Archibald Ironfist.
