Not quite. The traffic light determines the moment in time when you need to click the mouse for morale/luck to trigger. The modified cranim hardcodes it into the battle. Moreover, it codes not only morale/luck but also the casting of spells by units, as well as the computer's turns. The unmodified cranim does nothing to the game.
