have you ever watched Hollywood movies? They show something like this: terrorists seize, say, a bank full of people and demand that they be given, say, the mayor of the city. Do you think the police will agree? Not likely. They deploy various deceptions, SWAT teams, and so on.

in reality, banks are usually seized for the money stored inside. and I don't understand what betrayal has to do with it.

if you compare betrayal for the sake of love and rejected love for the sake of friendship, then... the situation must be foolish.
I would choose the latter. "true love" doesn't arise out of thin air, but from communication and actions. but finding true friendship is sometimes much harder.
