That's how it was. The start was unsuccessful but very active; by the middle of the second week, I was already level 11, and I had enough money for everything. But the exits from the adjacent zones were firmly blocked with arrows for Wingael, without regeneration. I cleared one outpost, but on the other side, the exit to the surface led to a dead end. Two stacks of mages went almost first and wiped out all the flies in the first turn; after that, there was no chance. I wandered around a bit and decided not to drag it out; there weren't many chances with such losses.
