managed to improve the result by a week.

Improving the result by a week is great!
This means that either the previous result wasn't very good, or you had a fantastic playthrough this time. In any case, we are all learning to play better; some ideas (on how to improve our gameplay) come to us on our own, but after the tournament is over, we will learn from the masters!!!
