Nah, ghost mode exists precisely so that players can take turns faster. For example, even in simultaneous turn mode, someone finishes their turn earlier. And you just have to wait, but with ghost mode, you can still do something. Since you're kicked out of this mode as soon as the opponent finishes their turn, the time spent is essentially the same, but it's spent productively. My friend Major and I used to play using modems at 28 kilobits per second, and we didn't notice any glitches. Although, I wonder how it works in 3.0, but the fact remains: people didn't embrace this mode for some reason.
