Light or Darkness?

We really should have decided on the terms beforehand. I think Lukyanenko's definition would fit: if you live for yourself, your path leads to darkness; if you live for others, it leads to light. Of course, people can't always adhere to one side. Lukyanenko wrote about the Others, but the question is: what attracts you more? Me? Light. Let me explain why. If I suddenly lose consciousness on the street and fall face down on the road, I would want someone to grab me by the collar and drag me to the sidewalk. (Well, I'm not asking for more, since I don't do more for others myself. It doesn't matter that others were quite drunk; what matters is the attitude towards human life). But I wouldn't want people to carefully drive around and avoid me, as if there weren't a person lying on the road, but a bag of garbage.
