Generally, summoning a boat on maps often involves multi-step procedures. The problem is that simply hiring Gem may not be enough to summon the boat – she knows the spell, but she can only summon it if there is at least one friendly boat on the map... Often, there are no boats on the map (as was the case on this map), and only a hero with advanced water magic can summon it (creating a boat out of thin air, so to speak), but he doesn't know the "Summon Boat" spell! :D A third hero is needed – a student who learns the spell from Gem and then teaches the water mage...

Only after these somewhat simple manipulations can the boat be summoned... Therefore, having eight heroes on the first day is not a luxury, but a means of transportation... :D
