"The Legend". Problems with the walkthrough.

Where can I find the pirate from whom I need to take the fishing gear? There's no hint about it anywhere.

He's near the fisherman... you walk past the mill, and Joe is standing right there (as a marauder). You need to talk to him a couple of times and then hit him. I'm on level three, and I took him down without any problems.
