Well, I wouldn't say that; Fireball and Armageddon both reduce defense by 50% for one turn, and that's good. I would also add a property to the Stone Spikes spell, so that the unit's speed is reduced by 2 for 1 turn; I think that's exactly what a Warlock needs, so that enemy units take as long as possible to reach his troops.
