Well, the solution is clear, of course. The same Rangers. By the way, I don't remember – did I add them to the Necropolis or did I add a few skeletons to it instead, leaving them to cover the Rangers? I just remember that the Rangers themselves did a great job of destroying that legion of peasants. The Centaurs, Chiefs, and Halflings have more trouble destroying them. And I don't remember how I dealt with the Necropolis castle, but it was definitely with skeletons and vampires. The Illithids weren't even a factor by day 8 on Impossible difficulty. Although, maybe there's another way to complete this scenario. Like, build a Dimension Gate and immediately jump to the Warlock's empty castle. Or maybe there's a chain of heroes taking turns attacking this legion from day one. After all, someone managed to complete Hot Spot in 7 days. I just can't imagine (and I still haven't found the link) how heroes are sent in 3 different directions to achieve victory on Impossible difficulty, one of whom destroys a lot of Hydras and, it seems, Phoenixes (on both sides of the teleport to the Warlock) no later than day 7!!!!
