1) By the way, regarding mission 5, there's one guess:
If you capture all the castles first and then defeat Gilraen, mission 5 will start immediately, but if you do it the other way around, mission 4 will start. I think this bug was described on the Nival forum.
2) By the way, here's another bug: if you defeat the druids who are standing in a ring before capturing the Southern Elven castle, it will be impossible to complete the mission.

The first bug is incorrect. I finished it exactly like that (all castles -> Gilraen), and mission 4 started.
The second one isn't significant; even if it's true, it's not a big deal. It takes too much time to get to the druids and then head south. You probably won't make it in a month...

It's difficult for us users to judge... I don't even fully understand what the bug is, IMHO. If the mission isn't completed, it means something hasn't been done => the mission hasn't been completed. Where is the checkbox missing? You could do this: announce preliminary results and post shoot-nick's save and descriptions for public discussion. When everyone understands what the error is and who is wrong, then discuss it... It's all IMHO, of course.
