Did the graphics of Heroes 3 not deter you from wanting to play?

It's a very strange question, even if it's rhetorical. How should one understand "did it not diminish the desire"? When I buy a game, I look at the overall impression, and if I don't like the graphics, the genre, etc., I immediately stop playing. That's how I choose games – I see it, I evaluate it, I buy it.
