Yes, under Lucretia, but it's much more effective to apply vampirism to dragons or messengers under other heroes, because with a sufficient number (about 10-15 dragons and 20-25 messengers), in the later stages of the game (in the early stages, I prefer summoning rather than darkness), the unit becomes very difficult to destroy.
