Ah, Askania Nova... I've dreamed of seeing you for a long time, and finally, that day has come. Six hours with you, Askania Nova – in the heart of the steppes, where the most famous nature reserve in Ukraine was established. That's the introduction, and now let's move on to the photos...
Everything you see below is not a forest. It's a dendrological park. By the way, there used to be a steppe here too, but thanks to Falz-Fein (the founder of Askania), it turned into such a wonderful place.

And this is the zoo. In order:



A distinctive feature of these and half of the other peacocks is that they calmly walk along the paths of the zoo. But they don't grab guests by the pants (which is a pity:rolleyes:)

Birds of prey. The vulture is exactly one meter tall, and the eagle owl is a little smaller.

Me with a feather that I managed to "borrow" from a peacock.
