Tieru, before version 1.5, I would accumulate peasants. And after building the castle, I would turn them all into crossbowmen. There were fewer of them than the Necropolis skeletons, but not in terms of firepower. There was no need to train anyone else. If there were no angels, I would split the crossbowmen into 2 stacks.
