Secondly, Catch, if you know how to run Heroes I, even under XP, under normal conditions without an emulator, I would be grateful.
Well, under XP, both the DOS version of the first game and the Windows version (from Buka) run fine, so I haven't had any problems with it.
But I doubt that the Buka version of Heroes can be launched under DOSBox, at least because the game is installed by default in a folder named with Russian letters.

I tried it. It doesn't launch. So, you weren't playing the Buka version...
