So, is there no interest in developing skills? Is there no interest in learning? Is striving to improve the game boring? Then what's the point of tournaments at all? It's a competition. But there's no desire to strive for victory, and the attitude is just "maybe I'll play."
Then, perhaps, it's simpler and more convenient to play against the AI for your own enjoyment. Or even use cheats to have 20 black creatures on the first day, making the game easier... :)
