A team of this caliber has no place in the semi-finals.

Well, the Turks are certainly "stronger"... and their level is "definitely higher"...
Then it would be better to rephrase the statement like this: with this kind of game, the Croatian team has no place in the semi-finals, and focus on their last match.
Because a team that beat the current semi-finalist, or even didn't beat them but outplayed them, such a team certainly deserves to be in the semi-finals, and many considered Croatia to be the favorites, but they played poorly against the Turks, and their finishing was terrible; they barely managed to score into an empty net. The Croatian team is young, as is their coach, and they probably thought that after scoring a goal, they were already in the semi-finals, and their emotions took over. But the Turks, who have done this before, didn't give up and replaced Croatia's euphoria with a moral collapse. HOWEVER, the Turks don't really deserve this semi-final.
