Decided to play with a friend over a local network.
If you have a shared local network, Hamachi is not needed.
In the game over a local network, the heroes don't see us at all. The player list is completely empty. Those who play Heroes over Hamachi, tell me what to do?
It's simple - in the case of XP:
Go to "Network Connections". In the main menu, go to the "Advanced" submenu, and in it, look for the "Advanced settings" item. And there, in the list of network adapters, move Hamachi to the very top.
It will be a bit more difficult with Vista, but if needed, I'll find where it's described.
ps, yes, how could I forget!
If you play normally through Uplay, then it probably doesn't matter, but it's still worth disabling firewalls, any antivirus software that may block ports used by both Hamachi and the game. The easiest option is to disable the Windows Firewall.
In XP, it looks like this: My Computer -> Control Panel -> Services and Applications -> Services -> find Windows Firewall in the list of services, disable the service and autorun. I don't know about Vista, but I think it's not difficult.
