I installed Vista on my computer for an experiment, to study it. I tried playing games on DirectX 10. So, my video card handles DirectX 9.0c perfectly, but it can't handle 10 on most games, so there's no point in playing them until I upgrade my computer. Visually, Vista looks great, but it overloads the RAM, especially for those with less than 2 GB of memory. Ah... I remember my desktop on my old computer with 256 MB of RAM: standard window design, a solid-color image on the desktop. And by the 9th or 10th year, Microsoft promises new windows; it's unlikely that the situation with Vista will change drastically by then.
O God of Earth and Altar, Bow down and hear our cry, Our earthly rulers falter, Our people drift and die, The walls of gold entomb us, The swords of scorn divide, Take not thy thunder from us, Take away our pride.
